This notice identifies the business behind geistlabs.dev. It is published to satisfy the trader identification requirements that apply to online services in the European Union under the e-Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC, Article 5) and the Digital Services Act, and equivalent transparency expectations elsewhere. In Germany and Austria this page is what is normally called an Impressum.

Because Geist Labs is not incorporated, your contract is with Brandon W. Lee personally. He is the contracting party for every purchase, booking, and licence described in these documents, and he is personally responsible for their performance. This will change if and when the business incorporates, and this page will be updated before it does.
The address above is a geographic address where legal service is accepted, as the applicable trader-identification rules require. It is not a PO box.

One inbox handles all of these. That is a deliberate consequence of running a one-person business: a request marked for privacy or legal reaches the person who decides, rather than a queue. If that stops being true as the business grows, this table changes before the practice does.

Brandon W. Lee is responsible for the editorial content published on this site, including articles, playbooks, and workshop material.

Geist Labs provides technical consulting, training, and digital publications. It does not practise a regulated profession, and it is not authorised to give legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. Nothing on this site is professional advice of that kind.

Hosting and infrastructure
The site and its supporting services run on third-party infrastructure. The providers that process personal data on our behalf are listed in the Privacy policy and, for engagement work, in the Data processing addendum.

Dispute resolution
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is no longer operating, so we do not link to it. We are not obliged to participate in, and do not currently participate in, dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Consumers may still bring a complaint to the competent authority in their country of residence. Bring any dispute to us first through the contact form — most things are resolved faster that way.
